LISMORE Real Estate Advisors has announced it is growing its Edinburgh-based operation with the promotion of Chris Thornton to senior associate and the appointment of Chrissie Clancy as surveyor.

Chris Thornton joined the property advisory firm in 2020 and is said to have been an ‘integral’ part of the team, contributing to key transactions and fostering client relationships. In his new role as senior associate, he will take on greater responsibilities and be involved in guiding the firm’s strategic initiatives.

“I am thrilled to step into this new role at such an exciting time for Lismore,” he said. “The opportunities I’ve had to grow here have been exceptional and I look forward to contributing further to our clients’ success and the firm’s bright future.”

Chrissie Clancy, meanwhile, undertook a work experience programme with Lismore whilst a student and joins the team from Knight Frank, where she has worked for the past three years as a graduate surveyor, passing her APC earlier this year. She will help support the firm’s expanding client base and contribute to investment strategies.

“I’m delighted to join Lismore and to become part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking team,” she stated. “I’m eager to bring my skills to the table and contribute to the firm’s continued success as it solidifies its position as a market leader.”

Director Colin Finlayson said the appointments reflect the ‘growth and evolution’ of Lismore over the past five years. “Chris Thornton’s promotion is well-deserved and highlights our commitment to rewarding excellence, while Chrissie Clancy’s appointment brings fresh perspectives and energy to our team,” he added. “Together, they will play pivotal roles in shaping the future of the firm.”

Since launching in March 2020, Lismore has advised on over £1.5 billion of Scottish investment transactions.
