THE Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is launching its biannual Master Builder Awards.

The awards are designed to celebrate high-quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service and building excellence delivered by master builder companies across the UK.

The FMB explained that, whether it’s showcasing innovative sustainability, magnificent renovations, quality house building or beautiful commercial projects, the awards are an opportunity for companies to receive the recognition they deserve.

Homeowners can also celebrate their favourite master builder who has gone the extra mile by nominating an outstanding company, individual builder, or most exceptional apprentice.

Brian Berry, chief executive of the FMB, said, “The Master Builder Awards are the Oscars of the building industry, showcasing the brilliant work that master builders carry out across the UK. I strongly encourage all FMB Master Builders to enter, and receive the recognition they deserve. If you’re not already a member, there is still time to join and be eligible for the awards.”

The 2025 Master Builder Awards categories include:

  • Outstanding Builder of the Year
  • Business of the Year
  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Sustainable Building Project
  • Large, medium and small renovation projects
  • Kitchen Project
  • Bathroom Project
  • Commercial or Public Sector Project
  • Housebuilder Award
  • Workplace Culture Award

Master builders who enter the awards will automatically be in running to win the grand prize of an Isuzu D-Max Pick-up worth over £42,000, supplied by the headline sponsor. Seven regional and home nations awards ceremonies will be held across the UK in spring 2025, before finalists compete for the overall national titles to be announced in September at a ceremony at Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, hosted by TV presenter Nick Knowles.
