NHBC recognises work of Places for People site manager

Alan Wharton

PLACES for People’s Alan Wharton has been recognised for his dedication to raising standards in housebuilding after winning the NHBC Pride in the Job Award for Scotland.

Alan, who also won a Seal of Excellence award, beat off stiff competition to take home the title in the Medium Housebuilder Category for his work on the Black Isle View housing development in Inverness.

Alan commented, “It’s a special feeling to be recognised as one of the best site managers in Scotland. The NHBC Awards are the pinnacle of a site manager’s career. The team and I in Inverness are delighted that all of our hard work and dedication has been rewarded. I look forward to representing Scotland in the next stage of the competition at the Supreme Awards in London.”

Colin Jack, Places for People interim regional MD, Scotland, added, “We are delighted for Alan to achieve the recognition from the NHBC for the work he and his team have done at Black Isle View. The homes on this site are built to an excellent standard which everyone at Places for People can be proud of for a long time to come. This site is a reflection of the high standards he has set from the beginning – well done Alan.”
