NATIONAL Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) has announced the launch of NASC Insurance Services, offering bespoke insurance solutions exclusively for the sector.

Designed specifically for the scaffolding and access industry, the service aims to simplify the world of insurance, providing coverage tailored to the unique risks faced by scaffolding businesses from a trusted source.

NASC Insurance Services is said to deliver ‘competitive, cost-effective insurance packages, supported by expert advice and an in-depth understanding of NASC’s stringent standards’.

Insurance products offered include liability insurance, property insurance, plant – own and hired, motor fleet insurance, professional indemnity, management liability, cyber (crime) insurance, credit insurance, and travel and personal accident insurance.

In other NASC-related news, the organisation said that, following enhancements in its entry standards, it now has over 800 members, which represents a growth in some categories by over 24% in one year.

CEO Clive Dickin said, “Recent incidents with the winter storms and the proliferation of a less than rigorous procurement process within local government has raised concerns. As the largest scaffolding and access trade body in the UK, we have now raised NASC members concerns at local level and will continue to press for better procurement practices recognising NASC membership standards and audit as the minimum standard recognised by HMG.”
