OVER £4 million was spent on 79 projects to improve Fife schools during the summer holidays.
Improvements included boosting accessibility, upgrading dining facilities, window and roof replacements, and electrical and heating upgrades – including the installation of heat pumps.
Fife Council education spokesperson, councillor Cara Hilton, said, “This summer we have not only welcomed pupils to two new schools in Dunfermline as part of the new Learning Campus, but we have completed major improvement works across our school estate.
“This will make a huge positive difference to the teaching and learning environments for our staff and pupils and I’m proud of the way our services come together to get this work done for the benefit of all.”
