NAYLOR has extended its ducting range portfolio with the launch of a new uPVC Class 1 and Class 2 ducting system designed for the power market.
Naylor revealed its uPVC Class 1 and 2 Duct is manufactured in accordance with the Energy Network Association Technical Specification 12-24 – ENATS 12-24 and, for Class 1 duct, BS EN 61386-24.
Described as offering the advantages of a lightweight product combined with ‘high strength and durability’, both systems are designed for use in high voltage power networks including hydro, wind farms and solar farms. They are also suitable for use in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Available in red and black as standard and other colours upon request, Naylor uPVC Class 1 and 2 ducts comes in a variety of sizes including 38mm, 54mm, 88.9mm, 96.5mm, 110mm and 160mm (OD) and can be supplied in three and six metre lengths as standard. A range of bends and access boxes are also available to support installation requirements.
Jim Crawford, MD of Naylor Scotland, said, “The launch of our uPVC Class 1 and Class 2 ducting systems strengthens our product offering in the Scottish energy sector which produces just under a quarter of all renewable energy generated in the UK. The launch of these new ducting systems enables us to offer high performance ducting solutions to the power sector while also giving us the opportunity to support the development of a wider EV charging network as the move to electric and hybrid vehicles continues.”
The ducting systems are the latest of several new product launches made by Naylor this year. The expansion of the company’s product portfolio is part of a growth plan backed up by significant investments in product development, manufacturing capability and production capacity at both its Fife and Yorkshire manufacturing sites. The company has also recently refreshed its brand identity to underline that it offers a range of different products – not just drainage – and to reflect the company’s values and future aspirations.
