LUXURY Kitchen specialist, Silver Birch Interiors, has purchased a showroom in Livingston.
Signalling a strategic move into the east of Scotland for the Hamilton-headquartered business, the expansion is part of Silver Birch’s wider plans to significantly scale – with it targeting over £5 million of revenue within the next year.
The property, which will undergo a six-figure refurbishment, is set to become a ‘state-of-art’ 1,500 sq ft showroom and office facility scheduled to open Spring/Summer of 2025.
The firm explained that the new location at the Livingston Designer Outlet will help the business expand both in terms of growing the team with top industry talent – an additional 3-6 employees will be recruited for the new location -and strengthening key relationships with developers, architects and clients based in the east of Scotland.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for Silver Birch as last week the business was named Scotland’s Best Kitchen Company for a record 5th time in seven years and scooped first prize for the prestigious International Best Kitchen Design at Nolte Küchen GmbH & Co. KG’s 2024 industry awards.
In addition, Alan Macgregor, the founder and MD of the business, formed part of the latest cohort for The Hunter Foundation’s prestigious Scale Up Scotland as he seeks to take the business to the next level of growth.
During the last 10 years, Alan has scaled the business to over 16 employees and increased revenue year on year by approximately 35%. Silver Birch has progressed from working with individual clients refurbing their own homes to securing contracts with a variety of developers in size, notably forming a ‘strong relationship’ with Cala Homes.
Alan Macgregor, founder of Silver Birch, commented, “I founded Silver Birch with the mission of transforming lives through the creation of exceptional living spaces. I’m delighted to have now acquired this new property in Livingston which will significantly support our ambitious growth plans for the business.
“Expanding our presence to the east of the country will allow us to work with a wider pool of retail clients, trusted trade partners and the finest builders and developers to provide luxury, inspirational kitchens throughout Scotland.”
