Housebuilder puts on community property event at Chryston development

Allanwater Homes Chryston event

ALLANWATER Homes has held a community-led open weekend at its Chryston development in North Lanarkshire.

Children dressed up in construction-themed fancy dress, enjoyed having their faces painted, played Wii Mario Cart, and met two superheroes – Spiderman and Captain America.

Along with a free prize draw to win £100, Allanwater Homes laid on a mortgage advice clinic, courtesy of Wallace Quinn Solicitors & Estate Agents, and the Mortgage Advice Bureau.

Put together by development sales manager Lauren McNair, together with planning manager Millie Stokoe, the aim was to showcase the newly launched four-bedroom detached Lewis showhome at Allanwater Chryston.

Lauren said, “It was Millie and I’s pleasure to put this whole event together. Our thanks go to everyone who attended over the weekend, to all our children’s entertainers, to the Scottish Pizza Company who provided free pizza to all our visitors, and to both Wallace Quinn, and the Mortgage Advice Bureau for laying on the clinic. Feedback was that this has really helped a number of local families access the correct advice for them.

“As a result of offering to pay the LBTT on selected homes over the weekend, and with other cashback offers on, we were able to take a number of reservations.”

Jim Baxter, a director of Allanwater Homes, added, “Chryston is a good example of Allanwater delivering on its core value: to give people a house they can live in at a price they can live with.”
