EASY Living Homes, the private housebuilding division of Glenrothes-based construction company Easy Living Developments, has been shortlisted in two categories in The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024.
The business, which is entering the awards for the first time this year, has been nominated for Best Regeneration Project (Residential) for its Forth Park Residences development in Kirkcaldy, which breathed new life into the dilapidated B-listed Mansion House at Forth Park Maternity Hospital, creating a luxury apartment development in the Mansion House, together with Mews Homes, and a range of villas and bungalows.
Easy Living Homes has also been shortlisted in the Development of the Year category, for its Castle Gait site in East Wemyss. Enjoying a picturesque rural setting, Castle Gait offers a mix of new build detached bungalows and villas.
“We are absolutely delighted to have achieved not one, but two, prestigious shortlistings in our first very time of entering The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024,” said CEO Keith Davidson. “We were confident that we had a very strong offering across both of these developments, as they certainly have the attention to detail, the finishing, and the sustainable innovations, that the industry are looking to commend at the moment.
“It was my pleasure to show the judges around the developments in July. We found them extremely engaging and well informed on what these awards are looking to promote. It’s only when you pit your developments up against the best of the best, and against many housebuilders that are significantly larger than us, in terms of numbers of properties built each year, that you find out if you are achieving a real level of excellence.”
