CLARK Contracts has commenced refurbishment and transformation works at Glasgow Caledonian University’s (GCU) Centre for Executive Education.

The project involves the refurbishment of the ground floor of the building, transforming what were under-utilised spaces on campus – which includes a former café area and former bank – to create three new computer laboratories and two new classrooms.

Each of the spaces will be 48-seater capacity, with a new 32-seater capacity classroom as well as new breakout/social spaces with vending facilities.

Clark Contracts said that the transformation is expected to ‘revitalise’ the entire Centre for Executive Education ground floor and lead to increased and enhanced usage of the adjoining spaces such as the adjacent memorial garden and main atrium lobby.

Gerry Cummins, director at Clark Contracts, said, “We are thrilled to be delivering another project within the Glasgow Caledonian university campus following the success of our recent project within the Annie Lennox Building.

“The delivery team, including myself, the contracts manager and quantity surveyor are all proud Glasgow Caledonian University alumni, and are delighted to be working in partnership with them to upgrade this building which will improve the overall student experience.”
