WORK has been completed on a project to deliver a new 75-tonne footbridge at Uddingston Railway Station.
The crossing was opened to the public after colleagues from Scotland’s Railway met to conduct final inspections on the footbridge which was first installed in March.
Replacing the old footbridge at the station, the previous crossing will be removed this weekend, with the next phase of works set to see an upgrade of the station’s power supply to support the two new lifts that are set to open later this summer.
