MUIR Homes has donated £500 towards a life-saving defibrillator in Pathhead, Midlothian.
The village already has two of the devices located at the bowling club and village hall. Pathhead & District Community Association is raising funds for another and asked local businesses to chip in.
Muir Homes is currently building its West Path development in Pathhead, a residential project adjacent to Tynewater Primary School. The site comprises 43 homes with a mix of three, four, and five-bedrooms, including affordable housing options.
Gayle Scott recently received the cheque on behalf of Pathhead & District Community Association. She said, “We are over the moon with this generous donation of £500 that perhaps one day might help to save a life in the village.”
Fraser Stangoe, site manager for Muir Homes at the West Path, added, “We are pleased to contribute to such a worthwhile cause and work with the local community to deliver this life-saving device for Pathhead. Defibrillators like this one might just save a life one day. It’s really reassuring to see so many popping up across the country. We want to enhance the local community and create positive change with our development and this donation is an important part of that.”
