MAXI Construction have started work on the firm’s first project awarded via the NHS National Services Scotland Minor Works Framework.
The project, at Cameron Hospital in Fife, comprises refurbishment works to an existing ward building to provide a new training unit.
Works include suspended ceilings, mechanical & electrical tasks, new internal doors, kitchen and toilets, flooring and decoration. The completed facility will provide new teaching and tutorial rooms, with simulation suites created to provide realistic training in a hospital bedded bay, GP consultation room and home environment, as well as a new reception area.
John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s MD, said, “We are delighted to be working with NHS Fife on the delivery of our first project secured on the NHS Minor Works Framework. We look forward to growing the company’s experience in the healthcare sector and working with NHS boards throughout central Scotland.”
