A development of 18 luxury apartments has been granted planning approval in Linlithgow, West Lothian.
Located on Edinburgh Road, the two-bedroom properties will be marketed by CCG Homes, and will form part of a new mixed-use development that will also include a 60-bedroom private care home led by Morrison Community Care Group and CCG Homes’ parent company, CCG (Scotland).
The homes will be offered with ‘luxury specification’ as standard and will also have ‘advanced, low-carbon energy performance credentials’ thanks to the use of zero emissions heating systems.
An ‘enhanced’ building fabric will also help to naturally reduce heat loss and in-use energy consumption, while the properties will have an exhaust-air heat pump in place of gas boilers for space heading and hot water services.
Where an air-source heat pump is installed externally and extracts ambient air, an exhaust air unit is internally housed within the property. The pump also extracts ambient air via vents on the side of the property and re-uses warm air from wet rooms to convert heat into water, which will serve all radiators and instantaneous sources of hot water.
Calum Murray, CCG Homes MD, said, “Linlithgow is a charming town that is conveniently located between Glasgow and Edinburgh and I am delighted that we will be bringing our market-leading offering to the local property market with Edinburgh Road. The homes will have luxury specification as standard whilst their energy and sustainability credentials will be some of the most advanced anywhere in the country. I am confident the homes will speak to a variety of buyers and we look forward to engaging with prospective purchasers very soon.”
