BUSINESS restructuring expert, FRP Advisory, is the latest tenant to take space at Meridian in Union Row in Aberdeen.
The firm has moved into a new 1,800 sq ft suite on the fourth floor of the landmark building, on a ten-year lease.
FRP relocated its seven-strong Aberdeen team from Rose Street at the end of February. Headquartered in London, it has 28 offices across the UK, as well as two in Cyprus and the Isle of Man, specialising in forensics, corporate finance, debt, restructuring, and financial advisory.
Jonathan Nesbitt of FG Burnett, who advised FRP in the acquisition, said, “Meridian has benefitted from a comprehensive refurbishment and offers good quality office space in the city centre. We are delighted to have been able to advise FRP with this.”
Iain Fraser, partner at FRP, added, “We’re pleased to have secured such a well-located office space in the heart of Aberdeen, and look forward to inviting clients old and new there.”
The latest letting follows the acquisition of 4,655 sq ft on the ground floor of the building by NSPCC in2023 and comes after an extensive refurbishment programme by the landlord.
Occupying a position in the heart of the city centre, Meridian offers five floors of office space with 58 parking spaces. The building has a ‘striking’ entrance with a double height atrium and manned reception area, two lifts, and shower facilities.
Amy Tyler, associate director at CBRE, who acted for the asset manager of Meridian, M7 Real Estate, said, “It’s great to welcome FRP to Meridian which is one of the best located office buildings in the city centre and is surrounded by fantastic amenities. The building has been refurbished to an exceptional standard – the light filled reception area in particular is extremely impressive with its feature wall and contemporary furnishings.
“We expect there to be continued interest from occupiers keen to find quality accommodation in the city centre, at a time when there is very little new build, Grade A availability.”
