THE University of Glasgow has appointed Clark Contracts to its multi-contractor construction framework agreement for a fifth consecutive time.
The appointment will see the firm deliver construction, refurbishment, and fit-out works up to £7 million over the next two to six years.
Appointed to both lot 1 and lot 2 of the framework, Lot 1 comprises refurbishment and maintenance projects up to £500,000 and Lot 2 covers construction, refurbishment, and fit-out projects between £500,000 and £7 million.
The framework will include the delivery of operations and capital projects across various building types including student accommodation, laboratories, offices, and teaching spaces within the operational university campus.
Clark Contracts has been working with the University of Glasgow since the 1990s and has completed over 350 projects on the majority of buildings within the Gilmorehill and Garscube campuses.
Projects recently delivered include the internal refurbishment of the Maths and Stats Building, the major restoration of the Category A-listed James Watt North Building and various laboratory refurbishments including within the Davidson Building, Joseph Black Building, Rankine Building, and Graham Kerr Building.
