PUPILS at Jackton Primary School were treated to a special visit from award-winning author Angela Proctor to mark World Book Day, courtesy of Barratt Developments Scotland.
The housebuilder donated a series of books, signed by Angela, from her popular ‘Thumble Tumble’ series which follow the adventures of a young witch from the magical Isle of Arran.
During the visit visit, the students enjoyed a sit-down reading session with Angela, followed by an interactive workshop that immersed the children in an imagination challenge involving role play and brainstorming with the story and characters from Thumble Tumble and the Ollpheist. Barratt Developments, which is currently developing the Jackton Hall site in East Kilbride, gifted a book from the popular series to every child.
