MILLER Homes is encouraging good causes across Scotland to apply for its Community Fund initiative with applications now open, seeing £10,000 shared among those in need.

The Community Fund will support a variety of groups near the housebuilder’s 16 Scottish developments that are linked to education, promoting wellbeing, supporting the environment, and encouraging participation in sport.

Since its launch in 2022, the initiative has supported 92 groups in Scotland, equating to £60,000 of funding.

David McGrath, divisional MD for Miller Homes Scotland, explained, “Our Community Fund is a great opportunity for those who are at the early stages of starting a community project or groups that are in need of an injection of funding to help their ongoing efforts. We are continuously looking at how to support the communities we’re building in and urge groups of all backgrounds to get in touch. All they need to do is tell us what they want to achieve through their application form and our Community Fund Ambassadors will review the applications to select the projects which will receive an award.”

This is the first round of funding for 2024, with a second round taking place in the latter half of the year. Each of Miller Homes’ 10 regional offices across the UK has its own £10,000 fund to support community initiatives annually.

Applications for Community Fund will close on Wednesday 24 April, with a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £2,000 awarded. Successful applicants will be notified in May.
