THE Conflict Avoidance Coalition (CAC) has appointed experienced construction consultant Len Bunton as the new chair of its steering group.

Len is dedicated to advancing better dispute management within the sector and the move has been described as marking a significant milestone for the Coalition, which is a body comprising of industry and professional organisations, all committed to reducing disputes in construction through the promotion of best practice and collaborative working.

The Conflict Avoidance Coalition has also appointed Network Rail’s Victoria Hill-Stanford and Jeremy Glover, from Fenwick Elliott, to vice chair positions within the steering group.

Victoria will spearhead the development of information and guidance initiatives aimed at equipping industry professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to manage disputes effectively.

Jeremy, who also represents the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, will lead the charge in launching the Coalition’s inaugural Conflict Avoidance Conference later this year. The conference will be an opportunity to showcase the organisation’s efforts to promote collaborative dispute avoidance and resolution practices.

Len Bunton said, “I am honoured to take on the role of chair of the CAC steering group and am committed to driving positive change within the construction industry. Working alongside Victoria and Jeremy, I am confident that we will make significant improvements to how the industry currently operates.”
