Green light for Dandara Living’s City Wharf development in Glasgow

DANDARA Living has been granted planning permission by Glasgow City Council to develop City Wharf, a project comprising apartments and residential amenity, student accommodation and commercial units, in Anderston Quay.

Situated on a derelict site overlooking the Kingston Bridge, City Wharf will feature nearly 500 one, two and three-bedroom homes for rent and 490 student bedspaces alongside units for commercial use.

Designed by architects Manson, the ground and first floors will include amenities such as a cycle hub, gym, residents lounge, and co-working spaces. The development will also feature a new urban park for use by residents and the wider community. Private courtyard spaces and recreational areas will also be available to residents with planting and landscaping throughout.

Rachel Allwood, planning director of Dandara Living, said, “We’re delighted City Wharf has been given the green light. It will play a key role in the significant transformation this part of the city is undergoing and help to bring more people into the area extending the vibrancy of the Clyde waterfront.”
