SAVILLS has brought to market a new development opportunity near Bellshill, which the firm said may appeal to a range of buyers.
The property on Clydesdale Road comprises over 250,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation on a site extending to 35.5 acres. The site could appeal to buyers looking for a ‘significant’ industrial premises, or it could be considered for redevelopment for a variety of uses including an industrial park or residential housing, subject to the relevant planning consents.
Jamie Doran of Savills’ development team said, “We anticipate a strong level of interest from a wide range of parties for this opportunity. Despite the industrial nature of the existing facility, the location also lends itself well to residential use by virtue of the changing character of the surrounding area and lack of land supply across the west of Scotland for opportunities of this scale.”
Ross Sinclair of Savills’ industrial team added, “The opportunity to obtain a facility of this scale with good connectivity to the road network is rare and the site offers great potential for a similar user to secure a facility that offers room for expansion or redevelopment potential.”
Savills is marketing the site on behalf of Vallourec, a supplier to the oil and gas sector.
