DUNFERMLINE-based construction business, Riddell PM, has announced it is transitioning to its next chapter as company directors Dave and Doreen Riddell step down from their active roles.
After a career spanning more than five decades, company founder Dave has decided to hang up his hard hat and pass on the leadership of the business to his sons, Gavin and Michael Riddell. In the short term, to assist a smooth transition, Dave will take on the role of chairman.
After graduating with a degree in civil engineering, Dave enjoyed a varied construction career rising to board level during an 11-year period with Morrison Construction. In 1989 he founded Riddell PM and, over the last 35 years, the company has successfully completed more than 5,000 projects, encompassing services including project management, construction management principal designer, building O&M manuals, fire safety manuals, building log books, and product pyramid digital building manual.
Riddell PM said that, under Dave’s leadership, the business has become a trusted partner within the construction industry providing its products and services with a strong emphasis on ‘quality, reliability and customer satisfaction’. The firm added that his ‘dedication and unwavering commitment’ to the company’s success has played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation.
Dave Riddell said, “I would like to thank all of our management and staff, both past and present for the remarkable contribution they have made to the successful development and growth of the business over all of these many years, I could not have done it without you.”
Gavin and Michael will join existing director Mark Grant on the company board, with the aim of building upon the company’s success and steering it through the next phase of growth. While Dave Riddell’s retirement marks the end of an era, the company stated that it also signals the beginning of a new chapter and is looking forward to further advancements under the leadership of Gavin, Michael and Mark, while continuing to serve its clients with the ‘highest standards of quality and professionalism’.
