Former police station in Lairg set to go under the hammer

POLICE Scotland has instructed Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to auction a former police station in the village of Lairg.

Located at the eastern end of Loch Shin within Sutherland, Lairg lies 18 miles west of Golspie, 44 miles northeast of Ullapool and 48 miles north of Inverness.

The detached two-storey building with detached garage and on-site car parking is located directly adjacent to Lairg Fire Station on Main Street. The accommodation provides mainly cellular space across ground and first floors.

Linda Cameron, from the Inverness office of Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said, “For sale with vacant possession, this attractive detached property offers a rare redevelopment opportunity which may suit residential use, subject to planning.”

The property is going under the hammer at a guide price of £145,000 in a live-streamed auction featuring 35 commercial properties and development land located across Scotland on Thursday 22nd February at 2.30pm.
