A development of luxury homes in Greenock’s west end has been launched to market.
CCG Homes gave insight into its plans for the regeneration of the former Greenock Academy site on Madeira Street last year and after commencing construction in November, prospective buyers can now choose from a range of 30 homes that form part of the newly-named ‘The Scholars’.
Three house types will be spread across a housing mix that consists of 24 terraced villas and six terraced houses.
The ‘Muir’ and ‘Mara’ terraced villas are described as a contemporary take on a traditional Victorian terrace and are adaptations of a CCG Homes house type.
The 2.5-storey terraced house, known as ‘The Orin’, has three bedrooms, an open-plan ground-floor and a ‘room in the roof’ containing a master en-suite bedroom that features a large rooflight.
Buyers will have the opportunity to personalise kitchens – which are integrated with Siemens appliances – and bathrooms as part of a suite of options available at the point of sale.
A private rear garden and two parking spaces served by an EV (Electric Vehicle) charging point will also be provided for each plot while additional benefit will come in the form of improved energy performance with an EPC rating between 90 (B) and 92 (A) achieved as a result of the homes’ building fabric and integrated solar PV panels.
CCG Homes MD Calum Murray said, “A first project for CCG Homes in Greenock, we are delighted to present ‘The Scholars’; a development which is uniquely advantaged by its location in the town’s quiet west end suburb just 300m from the Esplanade.
“I am hugely confident the homes we have to offer – each complete with luxury specification and market-leading energy performance – will be well received by prospective buyers who we look forward to meeting over the coming weeks and months.”
CCG Homes expect to open a showhome in the summer with first entry for homeowners anticipated before the end of the year.
