THE local developers behind Glenfarg Apartments, a luxury development of downsizing apartments set in the village of Glenfarg in Perth & Kinross, have announced plans to lay on a free to attend celebration of artisan producers on Sunday February 4 between 1pm and 5pm.
Themed on ‘Indulgence for Valentines Day’, the leading showcase at the event will be from chocolatier and pastry chef, Jack Coghill, of Jack O’Bryan’s Bar & Kitchen in Dunfermline. He will demonstrate chocolate decorating techniques and provide the audience with opportunities to sample his delicious creations.
Other artisan producers taking part include Cairn O’ Mohr Winery; Cloverlea Apiaries, who will offer sampling of their local honey; and the New Lanark Spinning Company who will be selling woollen yarns for knitting, along with other food and drink products such as traditional tablet and gin. Artistic steel work from blacksmith Fine Iron Design will also be on display.
Glenfarg Homes director David Craigie, who is from Glenfarg, first had the idea to develop the site of the old Lomond Hotel into luxury apartments.
Commenting on the artisan producer showcase, he said, “We’d like to thank all the exhibitors for getting involved in this event on Sunday 4th February. We are confident that as well as providing plenty of luxury and indulgent gifting ideas for Valentine’s Day, the event is a novel way of supporting many excellent businesses who take great pride in what they do. We hope it will be well attended by local people, and, indeed, anyone interested in our development.
“There’s lots of amazing products available for sale on the stalls where you can pick up inspiration and ideas. You can also sample Jack’s amazing chocolates, He’s a very talented young man who is fast making a name for himself in the chocolate and pastry world. We are all really looking forward to watching his chocolate showcase.
“We also think that positioning various producers stalls in the kitchens of our new show apartments is a far more interesting and exciting way to launch them to market!”
The target market for Glenfarg’s luxury downsizing homes are couples aged 50-plus.
David added, “They are looking for a lifestyle change. They’ll have more time on their hands to enjoy life, living in our easier – and cheaper – to maintain energy efficient apartments.
“We want to show them that this is such a well situated development in terms of close proximity to fantastic food and leisure opportunities, plus the motorway network of central Scotland. It’s a really vibrant area, with Fife and Edinburgh also easily accessible.”
With glass balconies on three levels, Glenfarg Apartments are described as featuring an ‘eye-catching and contemporary’ design. The two-bedroom homes run with an off-grid Calor gas supply and boast open plan layouts, light filled interiors, and the latest kitchen and bathroom designs. Each apartment is individually designed and finished to an exacting standard.
All units have lift access to an underground garage and, subject to build schedule, buyers can personalise their choices in the kitchen and bathrooms.
