HOUSEBUILDER Dandara has donated £500 to Crisis, the national charity for homeless people, towards its Crisis at Christmas campaign.
The donation will help the charity to provide warm meals, shelter and support to those experiencing homelessness in Scotland this Christmas.
The Dandara team also hosted a bake sale and ran an office raffle to raise funds. With the money raised from the events, an additional £315 has been handed over, which will go towards providing items such as bedding, clothing, mobile phone top ups, entertainment and toiletries.
Julie Sutton, fundraising manager at Crisis, said, “Thanks to contributions like Dandara’s, we can help support those facing homelessness throughout the Christmas holidays by offering clothing, hot food and support. Every donation makes a big difference in our goal of ending homelessness in Scotland and throughout the UK.”
Tony Williamson, director of sales at Dandara East Scotland, added, “Dandara is proud to contribute to Crisis at Christmas, supporting their mission to end homelessness. Our team organised a successful bake sale and raffle, raising additional funds that allowed us to donate even more than anticipated to the charity. We hope that our donation will make a meaningful impact in supporting those facing homelessness this Christmas.”
