Housebuilder donates 77 gift bags to toy bank after urgent appeal

TAYLOR Wimpey West Scotland has responded to an urgent appeal for donations to The Renfrewshire Toy Bank by donating 77 bags of toys.

The volunteer-led charity said it has seen a ‘massive’ increase in the number of families needing help, with its mission being to ensure that all children and teenagers receive a gift on Christmas Day.

Lauren Roy-Sutherland, of The Renfrewshire Toy Bank, said, “We are delighted to have the support of Taylor Wimpey West Scotland and their gifts will add a great boost to the generous donations that we’ve had from so many other local businesses and individuals.”

Kara Newman, who co-ordinated the toy collection for her colleagues at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added, “Being able to work with local groups and charities is important to us, and I’m proud of our team both in our office and across our network of developments in the west of Scotland for gathering such a large collection of gifts for The Renfrewshire Toy Bank.

“We know the gifts will ultimately find a way to bring some festive cheer to children across the local area, and we’d like to thank the volunteers at the toy bank for the incredible work they do.”
