Two injured in Edinburgh crane collapse

TWO people were reportedly injured after a crane collapsed at a building site in Stead’s Place in the Leith area of Edinburgh on November 28.

Police Scotland confirmed that two people were treated at the scene by ambulance staff, with the Health and Safety Executive being informed.

The BBC reported that the incident occurred at the site of the build of 110 apartments being led by Collab Construction on behalf of Drum.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said, “Around 9.30am on Tuesday, 28 November, 2023, we received a report that a crane collapsed at a building site in Stead’s Place in Edinburgh. Two people were treated at the scene by ambulance staff. The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and enquiries are ongoing.”
