Milestone for neighbourhood tipped to herald ‘significant change’ in Glasgow rental market

CASA by Moda, the family rental homes division of developer and operator Moda Group, has announced the completion of the first phase of its new rental homes in Springboig, Glasgow, its first residential neighbourhood in the city.

With 31 two, three, and four-bedroom houses available immediately, with a further 85 homes due to arrive over the next 12 months, Casa, Vista Park, is described as signalling a ‘significant change’ to the Glasgow rental market, as it marks the first time the family rental housing model has been offered.

Casa is said to place service, technology, wellbeing, and sustainability at the forefront of its rental communities.

Since reservations went live, Casa by Moda has had over 1,700 rental enquiries, with applications now being considered for the second phase of development.

The second phase, which includes additional two, three and four-bedroom homes in a range of semi, terraced and detached house types, will be available for move-ins from spring 2024. Further one and two-bed apartments will be available in spring 2025.

Casa, Vista Park will eventually comprise 156 homes. Residents will benefit from smart environmental sensors from Moda’s technology partner Utopi – giving then the ability to monitor everything from room temperature to air quality and light pollution in real time. The homes also feature solar PV panels.

A bespoke MyCasa app has been designed to give residents 24/7 access to speak to customer service and report maintenance at the click of a button. The app also provides the opportunity to take advantage of brand partnerships such as FiiT, Neom Organics, The Ivy and Sky, as well as the option to book local recommended at-home services, such as dog walking, window cleaning and gardening services.

The 6.5-hectare neighbourhood was developed in collaboration with CCG.

Sarah Nelson, director of operations at Casa by Moda, said, “The opening of Casa, Vista Park, couldn’t come at a better time for residents in Glasgow where demand for quality rental properties is far outstripping demand. A key focus for us is to make sure that our new neighbourhoods truly embed into, and act as an extension of, their surrounding communities – so alongside delivering high-quality, sustainable homes we’re also looking to build partnerships with local businesses and organisations.

“That way our neighbourhoods feel like home from day one, and we hope encourages our residents to stay for a long time. We can’t wait to welcome our first residents throughout November and look forward to seeing Casa, Vista Park transform into a thriving community.”
