CALEDONIA Housing Association (CHA) has been recognised by Best Companies in two employee engagement categories.
CHA, one of Scotland’s largest registered social landlords, employs 200 people across the country and was named in 16th place in the top 25 UK housing associations to work for and were recognised as the best placed Scottish based landlord in the 2023 list. In addition, CHA is 25th in the top 50 Scottish companies to work for.
The outcome of the 2023 league table, which is compiled from prescribed Best Companies surveys and includes a range of questions relating to all aspects of the employee experience, was revealed to CHA staff during last week’s business plan roadshow in Dundee, part of a series of staff roadshows held throughout CHA’s areas of operation. The roadshows involve colleagues coming together to review performance and develop the new business priorities for 2024.
The Best Companies survey assesses a comprehensive range of engagement factors including leadership, the quality of management, personal growth, teamwork, giving back, wellbeing, and salaries and benefits. All engagement factors demonstrated a year-on-year improvement.
Julie Cosgrove, chief executive at Caledonia Housing Association, said, “I am immensely proud of the Best Companies awards this year. We try really hard to be a first-class employer and this demonstrates our collective and continued commitment to that. We see the year-on-year enhancements, the increase in the number of colleagues completing our survey and the overall improvement in performance as further positives. Our people are the very heartbeat of Caledonia and it’s fantastic to see this recognised at a UK level.”
