FIFE Council, in partnership with Hub East Central Scotland and tier 1 contractors, is introducing the Build Fife programme, which is designed to help local construction businesses grow.
Scheduled to run from February 7 to March 27, 2024, the initiative aims to enhance skills, build relationships, and unlock growth opportunities within the construction industry.
The programme spans eight weekly sessions, covering topics such as leadership & management, business strategy, marketing & social media, tendering & procurement, go green simulation, business finance & employment law fundamentals, and ongoing business support. The initiative culminates in a final event featuring presentations and awards.
Participants will gain direct access to tier 1 contractors and learn from industry specialists.
Pamela Stevenson, service manager for economic development at Fife Council, said, “The Build Fife Programme presents a valuable opportunity for businesses to tender for a diverse array of contracts while establishing vital connections with tier 1 contractors in the construction sector. This plays a significant role in assisting businesses to realise their growth goals.”
An information session about the Build Fife programme will be held during Fife Meet the Buyer 2023 on Thursday, November 9, at the Carnegie Conference Centre, Dunfermline.
With limited spots available for only 12 ambitious businesses, applications are open until December. Businesses wishing to take part can access the application form here or contact fifemeansbusiness@fife.gov.uk for further information.
