Lovell recognised again for health and safety commitment

LOVELL has won a top health and safety award for the 19th year in a row.

The firm, which is responsible for developments including Glow Garren in Hamilton and Oakwood Edge in Midlothian, scooped the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Order of Distinction Gold Award at the 2023 annual Health and Safety Awards.

William Lindsay, Lovell health and safety manager, accepted the award from interim regional director, David Carmichael.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are the largest occupational health and safety awards programme in the UK.

Lovell recently marked two milestones: having no reportable incidents in the relevant period and introducing a new online platform to share and benefit from best practice and innovation.

William Lindsay said, “At Lovell, the health and safety of everyone we work with is our utmost priority and we are proud to see our commitment being recognised once again. The RoSPA awards are rightly recognised as the Oscars of workplace safety in the UK, and so winning their top award for nearly two continuous decades is something we are thrilled to have achieved. Lovell will continue to live up to this record in the future and we look forward to, hopefully, celebrating with another such award in 2024.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, commented, “Accidents at work and work-related ill health don’t just have huge financial implications or cause major disruption – they significantly impact an individual’s quality of life. That’s why good safety performance deserves to be recognised and rewarded. We are thrilled that Lovell Partnerships has won a RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
