MILLER Homes is keeping children across Scotland visible on their walk to and from school by donating high-vis vests as part of the firm’s Home Safe initiative.

Families are being invited to collected high-vis vests from their nearest Miller Homes development.

The initiative marks Walk to School this October, which challenges kids to travel sustainably. With nights getting darker, the homebuilder is aiming to brighten up pavements by making kids visible to drivers as they make their way to and from school.

David McGrath, divisional MD at Miller Homes Scotland, said, “Home Safe is now marking its third year in Scotland, putting road visibility at the forefront of our community initiative as the nights get darker. It’s been great to see the impact we’ve made to local communities near our developments so far, and we hope that by donating these vibrant vests, children will be safer on their school commute.”

High-vis vests are suitable for all primary school children and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can head along to Miller Homes’ Sales Centres to collect a vest, open from Thursday to Monday, 10:30am-5:30pm.
