Taylor Wimpey set for 188-home North Lanarkshire development

TAYLOR Wimpey West Scotland is set to launch its development of 188 homes by Carnbroe Road near Coatbridge in the next few months.

Offering a mix of two and three bedroom terrace and semi-detached, as well as four bedroom detached homes, Taylor Wimpey said that the Calder Wynd offers a ‘semi-rural’ feel.

The firm added that the development has been designed to create a sense of place and maximises the latest Scottish Government planning policy for designing streets. The designs give priority to pedestrians over vehicles through the use of shared surfaces and home zones to create natural areas of focus at key points of the development.

Calder Wynd will also benefit from the delivery of key infrastructure as part of the masterplan vision for the area such as the newly upgraded Carnbroe Road, which the firm said will allow access to local cycle paths and walkways.

Within the development, there are plans for a playpark as well as additional pockets of open space for the enjoyment of all. Furthermore, Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has contributed over £1.7 million towards the provision of local education as part of its developer contributions agreed with North Lanarkshire Council.

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said, “We are pleased that we are now bringing forward our development of new homes off Carnbroe Road in Carnbroe near Coatbridge. We expect to launch our first phase of new homes for sale in the next few months, and our return to the Coatbridge area represents a significant and continued investment in the local area by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.

”Calder Wynd will offer a stylish and impressive mix of two, three and four bedroom homes and our development will form a key part of a wider masterplan vision for the area.
