Plans submitted for final phase of Jackton development

CALA Homes (West) has submitted a planning application for the third and final phase of homes at its Sequoia Meadows development in Jackton, East Kilbride.

The site currently offers a range of homes including one and two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom terraced and four and five-bedroom detached homes.

The final phase will deliver an additional 97 detached properties, featuring a mix of four and five-bedroom homes.

Families moving into the development will benefit from a new, purpose-built nursery and primary school, built with the support of a consortium of housebuilders. Jackton Primary welcomed its first cohort of pupils last month. New cycle and footpaths have also been created to encourage sustainable lifestyles and create safe access to amenities.

Graham McNeil, land director, Cala Homes (West), said, “We are excited to share the third phase of Sequoia Meadows with the public in autumn 2025. This development has been eagerly anticipated due to the success of the first two phases of Sequoia Meadows, which has become a vibrant community in the two years since its launch.

“Sequoia Meadows represents only part of a major ongoing investment by Cala in terms of the new community being created at Jacktonhall and we are proud to have played a leading role in the area’s transformation.”
