Luxury Edinburgh development launches for people aged 55 and over

A new 48-home age-exclusive development has launched in Barnton, west Edinburgh.

The Avenue by Cruden Homes is designed for downsizers, with the luxury properties overlooking the Royal Burgess Golfing Society and surrounded by green space and ‘picturesque’ views.

The development – for people aged 55 and over – comprises one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, and four three-bedroom semi-detached villas. The site has already received the NextGeneration Project Gold Award in recognition of sustainable and green-energy features.

Amenities available for communal use include a club lounge and bar area, a visitor guest suite, concierge facilities, private parking, electric vehicle charging points and landscaped gardens with shared BBQ area.

The first phase of homes are due for completion in early 2024 with prices starting at £380,000.

Hazel Davies, sales and marketing director at Cruden Homes, said, “After much pent up demand, it’s exciting to announce the launch of the first phase of our new luxury development in Barnton. Today’s downsizers are looking for communities which offer more than just a place to live. They value the added benefits of exceptional on-site facilities and social spaces and want to live in a quality and highly energy-efficient home.

“The Avenue offers all of this and so much more, including relaxed suburban living with everything you could want or need within easy reach of the capital. Unsurprisingly, we’ve seen unprecedented demand for these homes months ahead of this launch, so I urge potential buyers to act quickly to avoid missing out on something very unique.”
