Ventilation specialist appoints new business development manager in Scotland

PASSIVENT, a manufacturer of natural ventilation solutions, has appointed Tony Kelly as business development manager for Scotland.

He will work with architects, consultants and contractors to deliver tailored solutions focused on energy performance, air quality, and thermal comfort.

Tony has over 30 years’ experience working in the ventilation industry and has been involved with projects spanning sectors including domestic, industrial including factories, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities and schools.

Passivent explained that he will use his knowledge to help architects and specifiers identify which type of natural or hybrid ventilation strategy, and associated products, would best suit the requirements of their project.

Tony will be available to help with building specification and criteria on new build and retrofit projects, providing assistance with airflow calculations as well as hosting CPDs to share knowledge ventilation.

With new regulations being introduced and the rising prominence of Passivhaus standard, Passivent added that the role ventilation systems play in terms of the energy efficiency rating and air quality of a building ‘can’t be understated’.

Tony Kelly said, “I’m genuinely interested in ventilation systems of all types and the technology behind them as well as seeing how things work. I know architects are under increasing pressure to be experts on tens if not hundreds of products at any one time so I want to share my knowledge and expertise to come up with the most effective solutions which tick all the boxes for our architectural teams. I’m looking forward to getting to know customers in Scotland and playing my part in bringing a breath of fresh air to some really interesting projects in the coming months.”
