Plans submitted for new care home and private apartments in Linlithgow

PLANS have been lodged for a new mixed-use development on Edinburgh Road in Linlithgow which include a 60-bedroom care home and 18 apartments for private sale.

The proposals have been developed by Morrison Community Care (CCG) Holdco Ltd, a joint venture company comprising care developer Morrison Community Care Group and contractor CCG (Scotland).

Designed in partnership with Holmes Miller Architects, residential, nursing and dementia care services will be available to residents over the age of 65 alongside amenities such as en-suite bedrooms, dining areas, a hair salon, visitor’s cafe and cinema.

The 18, two-bedroom apartments will be brought to the market by CCG’s private housing brand, CCG Homes.

A high percentage of Linlithgow’s population are over the age of 65 so our care home will go a long way to supporting localised demand for care services as well as creating up to 100 jobs.

“After recently commencing construction on our first care home in the region earlier this summer in Almondside, our innovative joint venture company, if granted approval, will have delivered over 120, much-needed beds in West Lothian by mid-2025. That would a fantastic achievement and one which we hope will be realised as a result of this planning submission.”
