Third phase of homes upgrade programme underway in Kilmarnock

A project to upgrade 35 properties in Kilmarnock is underway through CCG Asset Management (AM), the planned maintenance division of the CCG Group, for Atrium Homes.

The households will benefit from component replacements including kitchens, bathrooms and other works needed to bring the homes up to modern living standards and will be completed over a five-week period.

The planned maintenance workstream is in its third of three phases led by CCG AM to date. It forms part of the company’s maintenance programme for 2023 in addition to supply and fit window and door installation, boiler replacements, and bathroom upgrades that are being undertaken across the country.

CCG Asset Management manager, Jim Cunningham, explained, “Over the course of three phases, CCG Asset Management completed replacements for a total of 220 households in East Ayrshire. Most recently, we have finished Phase 3B, where another 60 households received new kitchens and bathrooms in just five weeks.

“Throughout all of these phases, our dedicated site and tenant liaison staff ensured a swift and efficient installation process for each resident, minimising any disruption. We take pride in not only the quality of workmanship in our replacements, but also in the speed and efficiency in which we complete the work. Ultimately, our goal is to improve the quality of life for the tenants, and we are excited to continue building our positive working relationship with Atrium with this latest suite of works.”

Barry Lees, Atrium’s director of investment, added, “The project has improved the standard of over 220 properties to date. We look forward to continuing to working with CCG on this phase to see more properties upgraded and hearing from tenants who are delighted with the work completed in their homes.”
