SENIOR Architectural Systems has teamed up with composite door supplier Hallmark Doors and Panels to create a new residential entrance door described as combining patented PURe thermal-efficiency with PAS 24 security.
The two manufacturers have developed the external door option by combining Senior’s low U-value PURe Commercial Door frame with Hallmark’s aluminium door panels.
The new front door is available in a choice of designs from Hallmark’s range of over 50 aluminium door panels. The frame benefits from a thermal barrier created using polyurethane foam. The Hallmark door panels also feature a Raventherm thermal core for extra efficiency, with optional glazing trims.
For ‘enhanced durability and appearance’, Hallmark uses a four-stage pre-treatment process and cuts the door panels to size before powder coating to ensure a watertight seal to the edge of the aluminium skins.
Senior’s PURe aluminium windows and patio door range has been installed across the residential sector and the PURe Commercial Door, Senior’s ‘largest and strongest’ door to date, has also made an impression thanks to its suitability for use as a main entrance system in high-rise apartment schemes.
The design of the PURe aluminium doors and window range recently led to the Senior becoming one of the first ever winners of a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise, with the company recognised in the innovation category.
By teaming up with Hallmark Doors and Panels, Senior explained that its PURe technology can be used across the full fenestration package for residential projects, with the added reassurance of meeting the highest security standards and full compliance with PAS 24.
Senior’s sales director James Keeling-Heane said, “We are excited to be embarking on this new partnership with Hallmark and to be able to bring our patented low U-value PURe doors to a new type of residential customer. By being able to offer an efficient and attractive aluminium front door system we are continuing the evolution of our PURe range and making stylish, secure, and sustainable aluminium fenestration accessible to a wider market.”
Paul Spencer, sales director at Hallmark, added, “We are proud to be working in collaboration with Senior on this exciting venture. As the demand for full aluminium systems grows in the UK, together we can offer the trade and end users a comprehensive range of high-quality premium aluminium doors.”
The aluminium door panels can be ordered directly from Hallmark and then fitted into Senior’s PURe Commercial Doors.
