CONNECT Modular, which is part of modular construction solutions specialist The Wee House Group, has delivered the first six amenity blocks to the Clinterty Travelling Persons Site in Aberdeen.
The amenity blocks will provide services including kitchens, bathrooms and store facilities. They were manufactured at Connect Modular’s factory in Cumnock, Ayrshire, and transported to the site on flatbed trucks. The blocks were then lifted into place using a crane and connected to the site’s utilities.
The £5.45 million project is jointly supported by Aberdeen City Council and The Scottish Government Gypsy/Traveller Accommodation Fund and is being delivered by Aberdeen City Council, MTM Construction and Connect Modular, who are constructing the amenity blocks serving 21 pitches.
Richard Reid, acting CEO at Connect Modular, said, “We’re delighted to have delivered the first six amenity blocks to site. We look forward to the continued delivery of these blocks over the coming weeks and months and share excitement for the local area, seeing the amenity blocks craned into position, almost ready for use.”
