Irvine firm sees ‘healthy level’ of enquiries

CHARLIE Berry, MD of Irvine-based Andrew Wright Windows, has revealed to Project Scotland that the business has recently experienced ‘continued and very welcome’ interest from the commercial sector.

Mr Berry said that over the past couple of months, the business has received a ‘healthy level of high value enquiries’ from housebuilders for large volumes of windows and doors, for housing developments mainly across central Scotland.

The firm hopes to finalise a series of ‘significant’ contract wins very soon.

“While the majority of these enquiries are for new build developments, we have also received enquiries to supply specialist custom made windows and doors from developers working on regeneration and refurbishment projects,” Charlie Berry added.

“A good recent example is a custom built tilt and turn double glazed unit measuring 2.25 metres in height, designed by our technical team and recently approved by BSI at their UKAS-accredited test centre in Milton Keynes, for volume production at our Irvine factory.”
