Firm sponsors pandas as work begins on build near Edinburgh Zoo

DANDARA East Scotland is celebrating the launch of its new Pinkhill Gate development near Edinburgh Zoo by sponsoring two of its most famous residents – giant pandas, Yang Guang and Tian Tian!

Work is underway on the development, which is a nine-minute walk from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland Edinburgh Zoo. It features a range of 46 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments – including an exclusive penthouse property. Of these, 11 will be affordable homes.

Internally, the apartments will feature ‘modern layouts and stylish finishes’, whilst retaining a ‘timelessness’ well suited to being part of the historical city. Dandara said the first properties will be ready for occupation in the summer.

The first homes will be available for reservation early next year, with the first properties ready for occupation in the summer.

Rebecca Milne, development manager at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS), said, “We are delighted to welcome Dandara on board as silver corporate partners for our charity. With more than a million species at risk of extinction, nature needs us all to act now.

“Support from individuals and companies like Dandara has never been more important and we hope that new residents at Pinkhill Gate will come to visit Yang Guang and Tian Tian at Edinburgh Zoo and enjoy the mental and physical health and wellbeing benefits of being close to nature.”

Lisa Archibald, head of sales at Dandara East Scotland, added, “It’s a real honour for Dandara to become a silver corporate partner with RZSS and adopt the giant pandas before their return to China at the end of next year. We are very excited to be building in this vibrant area of Edinburgh which has so much to offer residents with easy access to the city centre and international attractions like the zoo and Murrayfield Stadium.”
