CELEROS Flow Technology has appointed Cala Homes as its residential development delivery partner as it looks to fulfil its plan of ‘harnessing its property portfolio to provide future stability and investment’ for its ClydeUnion Pumps facility in Cathcart, Glasgow.
The firm announced in August its intention to grow and invest in its Cathcart operation by offering six acres of redundant land and buildings to the residential market, retaining 12 acres of operational land and buildings.
Demolition of the redundant buildings on Inverlair Avenue is underway and Celeros and Cala will submit a Proposal of Application Notice to Glasgow City Council for a change to residential use. A formal planning application for around 300 new apartments is expected to be submitted early next year, following a period of community consultation. If successful, Cala will complete the purchase of the site from Celeros FT, with the intention to start building by winter 2023.

Streets-UK is organising a series of community consultation events over the coming months on behalf of Celeros FT and Cala so that the two companies can explain their vision and plans for the site, and to give the community the opportunity to raise any points or questions regarding the proposals.
