Groundforce Training honoured for work in water and wastewater sector

GROUNDFORCE Training is celebrating after winning a national award for work in the water and wastewater sector.

Training manager Chris Gearren collected the Water Industry Training Organisation of the Year accolade at the Institute of Water’s National President’s Dinner and Energy and Utility Skills Awards event, held in Leeds.

Phil Beach, CBE chief executive – Energy and Utility Skills, said, “Groundforce Training’s instructors have received praise from across the water industry and are highly valued by their partners. Although this year was highly competitive, we were very happy to select Groundforce as our Water Industry Training Organisation of the Year for their efforts.”

Groundforce Training operates nationally across all UK regions, delivering a range of courses for the construction industry. The team of instructors works with water companies and contractors including Clancy Docwra, M&S Water Services (Utilities) Ltd, J Browne Construction, and J Murphy & Sons.

Chris Gearren said, “The industry spoke by recognising our consistency of training delivery, standards adhered to, our nationwide capabilities, the skillsets of our instructors, and most of all our desire to listen and adapt to the changing needs of the water industry. The specialist safety and technical training provided by Groundforce is second to none and it was great to be recognised. I’d like to thank the Institute of Water, EU Skills and all of our clients for making the night one to remember.”
