Amey’s Perth open day will detail job opportunities on north east roads contract

AMEY has announced plans to host an open day in Perth on Tuesday October 18 to share job opportunities available in the firm’s new north east team.

Amey’s new highways team in Scotland has taken over Transport Scotland’s improved roads maintenance contract in the north east. The contract, worth up to an estimated £540 million, will run for eight years with a potential to extend for a further four years.

Working with Transport Scotland, Amey will deliver highways maintenance on the motorways and trunk roads, design road safety schemes, and look after bridges and structures.

Other contract deliverables include an enhanced winter and incident response service, improvements to customer experience, as well as the introduction of new technology for better asset management.

The open day will provide an opportunity to meet the team, find out more about the opportunities available, and suitably qualified candidates may be offered an interview on the same day.

Amey revealed roles the company is looking to fill include:

  • Control room staff
  • Clerk of works

  • Business support and administration staff
  • Finance and commercial services
