LAMINATE panel manufacturer Nu-Style Products, which is part of the Donaldson Group, has opened its second distribution centre in England.
Located in Barnsley, the site will trade under the Perform Panel name. Perform Panel is described as offering a ‘stylish and cost-effective’ alternative to tiles. The laminate wall panels are suitable for various internal applications within both domestic and commercial environments.
Nu-Style’s head office is based in Aberdeen. The latest move forms part of Nu-Style’s five-year strategy, which has included a £1 million investment to increase capacity and quality. Across the UK, new machinery and upgraded sites have increased capacity for Perform Panel, enabling Nu-Style to grow sales while boosting the product range, moving from 16 decors to 48 designs across three collections.
Nigel Tipper, business development manager with 28 years’ experience in the panel industry, will be leading sales in the area. The Barnsley site employs four full-time people, with further recruitment anticipated.
Steve Galbraith, MD at Nu-Style Products, said, “We are incredibly excited to be opening our distribution centre in Barnsley. We already have good trading in the north of England and this site will allow us to further enhance our delivery service to our customers and continue Perform Panel’s growth.
“The team has a wealth of experience and we are committed to providing customers in the area with their panel requirements. This depot is further commitment to Nu-Style’s strategy of having a nationwide delivery service.”
Andrew Donaldson, CEO of the Donaldson Group, added, “The second distribution centre opening in England in the last year is a great investment for Perform Panel, Nu-Style and the Donaldson Group as a whole. It’s a really exciting time for the company; Nu-Style has another distribution centre location set to open in summer 2023, with further expansion set for 2024.
“The team offers a fast, reliable and quality distribution service and we’re delighted to bring this expansion to Barnsley and the surrounding Yorkshire area.”
