CRUDEN Building has been appointed to three separate multi-million pound procurement frameworks to address local housing challenges across Scotland.
The business explained that each of the frameworks work in partnership with public sector bodies to deliver ‘high quality affordable and sustainable’ housing with a focus on bringing environmental benefits and improving the lives of local communities.
The three frameworks are as follows:
- The New Build Housing Construction H2 framework – a £500m new build framework to deliver public sector construction projects in Scotland. It was developed by LHC and will be operated by the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) until July 2026. The H2 framework offers traditional housing, low, medium and high-rise construction, care homes, mixed-use sites and sheltered, student and key worker accommodation.
- Hub South East’s new Tier 1B Contractor Supply Chain. The development partner for public sector bodies in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Scottish Borders will predominantly focus on residential construction of affordable housing, social and dementia care, care homes, crisis response and complex care.
- Hub West’s framework to deliver LOT 2 of the East Dunbartonshire Council New Build Housing Programme. This involves the design and development of six sites across East Dunbartonshire to deliver approximately 130 new built social housing units.
Gordon Lee, partnering and procurement director for Cruden Building, said, “To secure appointments to three important procurement frameworks over the last few months is a significant boost to Cruden Building and further expands our already healthy pipeline of new work. As well as helping to meet the ongoing housing challenges within the public sector we look forward to playing our part in helping to deliver more sustainable and zero carbon homes and creating substantial economic benefits through creating new jobs, new apprenticeships, and new business opportunities within our supply chain.”
Cruden Building’s framework portfolio also includes Tier 1B contractor status with both hub South West Scotland and Hub West Scotland.
