EAST Kilbride-headquartered construction consultancy Soben has expanded its operations with the launch of a new Mexico office.
The move is part of the firm’s growth plans, targeting 1,000 people globally by 2027.
Marco Mora has joined the business in the role of director and will help lead the development of Soben in Mexico. The company revealed it has identified the city of Queretaro as the ‘ideal location’ to establish a regional hub where they can build a strong presence in the country.
Marco joins Soben from CBRE, where he led a project management team that handled construction projects. With over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry working for organisations throughout Mexico and the US, Soben added that Marco has overseen more than 80 industrial and commercial projects relating to renewable energy and sustainability developments.
“I am happy to be part of Soben’s growing team, and this is a new and exciting challenge for me which I am really looking forward to,” Marco stated. “I will work hard to develop relationships and lead Soben’s team in Mexico to create new business opportunities to help us meet our ambitious growth targets for LATAM.”

Last year, Soben launched its global expansion with the unveiling of its North America office. Headquartered in Chicago, the US operation is led by Joe Cusick, leading a team of consultants serving clients across North America, Mexico, and Chile.
In January 2022, Soben’s Asia office was launched in Singapore with plans to grow across the region.
