Paisley construction firm workers learn life-saving CPR skills

15 JR Group employees have received CPR training from the British Heart Foundation to ensure they are equipped with life-saving skills.

The charity offered the training session at JR Group’s Paisley HQ to those not trained in first aid, following the construction firm’s recent £8,000 donation following its efforts in the 2022 Kiltwalk.

As well as life-saving skills, the session helped build confidence in reacting ‘quickly and effectively’ if someone was to go into cardiac arrest, the JR Group explained.

Gayle O’Hear, construction administration manager for The JR Group, said, “It was brilliant to welcome the team from British Heart Foundation into the office and engage with our team on how to save a life. Not only did it present us with some incredibly valuable skills, but it also gave many of us the confidence to act should the unthinkable happen.

“CPR is a skill everyone should know about, and it was great to get hands-on training to ensure as a team we are prepared. The British Heart Foundation was selected as one of our charities following our participation in the kiltwalk and is a charity that is very important to so many of us to it was fantastic to welcome them in to meet with the JR Team and see their great work in action.”
